Prof. Blaž Likozar is Head of Department at the Institute of Chemistry, where he leads the programme and a number of research projects (15 H2020 / 50 Horizon Europe only). His expertise is in the fields of heterogeneous materials for catalysis, modelling, simulation and optimisation of fluid mechanics, transport phenomena and chemical kinetics, among others. In 2014-2015, he worked at the University of Delaware as a Fulbright Scholar. He is the author of more than 380 papers, has been cited more than 10,000 times and has an h-index of 58. He has been involved in key CO2 capture, storage or use projects such as MefCO2, FReSMe, CONVERGE. He is also involved in a number of industrial projects with TotalEnergies, Evonik Industries, UPM, Novartis, Carbon Recycling International and others. He is a recipient of the Pregl and Zois awards.
