Irena Prijović is the Executive Director of the Slovenian Association of Supervisors, with which she has been working since its establishment in 1997. She graduated from the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana and holds a Master’s degree from the Faculty of Social Sciences with a thesis on the effectiveness of supervisory boards. Her research interests include corporate governance, the functioning of supervisory boards, standards, codes, research and skills certification. She is an author and editor of publications in this field, lecturer and consultant on corporate governance and self-assessment of supervisory boards. She has extensive experience in supervisory boards and is currently the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of JP Uradni List, d.o.o. and a member of the UO of Chapter Zero Slovenia. She is actively involved in international organisations such as ecoDa, ECGCN and EWOB. She regularly upgrades her knowledge by attending training courses at home and abroad (Harvard, Insead, ecoDa).
